Literacy Lab

During the 2004-05 school year, Everhart School received 30 computers from Information Services and funded with Capital Outlay Monies for Student and Staff workstations.  Each  computer access station includes a lot of peripherals and software. 

To quote Dr. Hamilton, " After all these years, our students are finally getting a piece of the technology pie - not only from our (school) district but from those companies who are targeting our students".

The focus in the Literacy Lab is “Learning Will Be Fun”.  I think the following pictures would strongly suggest that goal is being met!

Peripherals (hardware) for each workstation includes:

Training will be available for teachers and staff on using the hardware and software during the months of January through March (sign-up for training in the front office).  See Linda Elzie, Lorrie Corry and Kathy Gilstrap to get a better understanding of what this all means to you and your students (or children).
