The Gretchen Everhart School Open House was a great success! Thanks to the wonderful talent of Music Therapy Intern Olivia Swedberg, Gretchen Everhart School has its own school song! Ms. Swedberg
talked to staff and students to find out what they liked best about our school. She then put pen to paper and came up with the song.
A famous tree was revived in Tallahassee. Very Special Arts (VSA) of Florida sponsored a tree carving at Gretchen Everhart School, skillfully crafted by local artist John Birch. Last year, the tree was removed from under the bedroom window of the Governor’s Mansion. Everhart was selected as one of the fortunate recipients of a portion of that tree.
Carving Out Our Legacy - read a wonderful article written by our own Audra Burch, Speech-Language Pathologist about the addition of this very special owl sculpture to the grounds of Gretchen Everhart School.
