Everhart Artists Win Awards!The Art Department at Gretchen Everhart School is proud to announce our winning artists that participated in the "Celebration of La Florida" at Mission San Luis. Jennifer F. took first place, Joey R. placed second, and Courtney H. took third place. These students, and all participating Everhart artists will be honored at an "Artist Appreciation Luncheon" at our open air gazebo on campus on Wednesday, November the 12th. Jennifer Hoesing, Public Information Specialist and Dave Ramsey, President Board of Directors at Mission San Luis will be on hand to present awards to all participants. Way to go Everhart Artists and Judy Jecko, Everhart's Art Teacher!!! Congratulations Zellanye Hutchins!We are proud to announce that our own Zellanye Hutchins, Teacher here at Gretchen Everhart School was recognized last week at the Florida Association of Behavior Analysts Conference (FABA) as the state’s exemplary teacher in her instructional and behavioral management techniques. Congratulations Zellanye on this WELL deserved honor. You make us all look good! Graduation 2008Gretchen Everhart School's 2008 Graduation Ceremony was held Thursday, May 15th 7:00pm in the Everhart Cafeteria. Read more>> Michael Riley, Outstanding GraduateWe are pleased to announce that on May 6th, the Tallahassee Kiwanis Club recognized Michael Riley as an outstanding graduate for all that he has accomplished at our school. Michael was honored at the Kiwanis luncheon held at the Silver Slipper. (We know that Michael's parents, Susan and Charles Riley are very proud of Michael's accomplishments!)
Thanks to Pat Dallet with Tallahassee Kiwanis Club for the pictures. David and Denni RaeA plaque was presented to David and Denni Rae by Gretchen Everhart School at Graduation on May 15th. The plaque was inscribed with the following: Our deepest appreciation and thanks for all your years of volunteer work at our school in the areas of School Volunteer Coordination SAC and development of our PTO. thoughtful, --Margaret Mead SMILE 21st Century Grant - Shining Star AwardsWe are pleased and proud to announce that three individuals involved with Everhart's SMILE Program were recognized by the Florida Department of Education with three (3) Shining Star Awards!!! Congratulations to Cameron Massa, 21st Century Grant - Shining Star Award Student of the Year for the State of Florida; Christina Holden, the 21st Century Grant - Shining Star Award Volunteer of the Year for the State of Florida; and last but certainly not least, Jenny Chang, the 21st Century Grant - Shining Star Award Teacher of the Year for the State of Florida.
